Are there different protein powder options?

Yes. Whey protein powder from dairy sources and vegan plant protein powders are our top choices. There are three types of whey protein – isolate, concentrate, and casein. Whey protein isolate has an extremely fast absorption rate and is commonly taken before workouts. Whey concentrate can be used any time of the day and is usually blended with isolate protein for the benefit of a faster recovery process with quick absorption. Note that whey concentrates may contain lactose so be aware if you are lactose intolerant. Casein is usually taken at night before due to its slow digestion time. Vegan Protein is entirely plant-based (dairy-free) and usually contains a mix of brown rice and pea proteins.
